ABOUT THE TEAM

The APXS team is a cross-disciplinary international team based out of the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, Canada and supported by the Canadian Space Agency (ASC-CSA). The instrument was built by MDA Space Missions, Inc. Our collaborators and team members hail from Canada, the United States, and Australia.

The team includes physicists who specialize in the fundamental science of the APXS, geologists who interpret the results to help understand the geological implications, and engineers who specialize in the instrumentation and technical functionality.

Each day APXS tactical operations roles are staffed by members of the team from each discipline.

APXS DATA ON THE PDS

For scientists interested in studying or analyzing APXS data, they are publicly released on a rolling schedule approximately every three months to the Planetary Data System.
