Unique Holiday Contest Promises Winner a Dump Truck of Snow

MEDIA RELEASE
For Immediate Release | December 18, 2014

CLARINGTON, Ont. - Brimacombe ski area has launched a one-of-a-kind contest this week - offering one lucky winner the promise of snow, just in time for the holidays! The winner of Brimacombe's #SendMeSnow giveaway will receive up to 25 yards of snow spread across their front lawn on December 23, 2014.

To enter this unique contest, holiday-enthusiasts must visit brimacombe.ca/sendmesnow and share a few details, including why Brimacombe should send them snow. To help plead their case, entrants can also submit a current photo of their green front yard. The contest closes December 21, at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be selected by a panel and notified on December 22.

"You may not have snow on your front lawn right now," says Mark Rutherford, General Manager, "but here at Brimacombe, we have tons on ours - and we want to share! This is probably the craziest thing we've ever done, but it will be completely worth it, just to see the joy on the winner's face."

Brimacombe's #SendMeSnow contest is open to the public and free to enter. The ski area promises there are no catches, but wants entrants to understand there are some quirky "Contest Rules, Facts and Not-So-Tiny Print" that they should be aware of. For example, entrants must either own their property or have written permission from the owner, as well as live within a 150 kilometre radius of the ski area. While a complete list is available on the contest page, there's one final point they want to make clear.

"This contest is for keeps," says Teresa McKenna, Marketing & Promotions Manager. "We're doing something Mother Nature can't - promising a snowy front lawn while leaving your driveway and walkways clear. However, if the winner gets bored of the blanket of white outside their window, we aren't coming back. In that case, the best we will suggest is a shovel."
